In 2026, I was selected to paint a piano for Sing for Hope. My design centered around bodega cats! The piano was met with so much love, and the 22 other artists I worked with in the studio were beyond inspiring.“Nestled in oranges and loafing among bread, the deli cat aids, and rests. This design is meant to honor the working cats of New York City that both kids and adults will love. Playful and fun, the cats are doing what they do best living among the fruits, veggies and newspapers and all reflect cats from real New York City bodegas. Wrapping around them are vines which symbolizes their ability to create and grow communities by connecting animal lovers. These creatures are truly iconic facets and they deserve to be memorialized.”
